Barcelona are out of the Champions League at the group stage after Inter Milan secured a 4-0 win over Viktoria Plzen in their previous match.
The Catalans were on the brink of an embarrassing group stage exit after they were held to a 3-3 draw by Inter in their fourth match of the Champions League 22/23 campaign.
The draw to Inter had left Barcelona third in Group C with four points from four matches – three points short of second-placed Inter and eight short of table-toppers Bayern Munich.
Barcelona needed Inter Milan to fail to secure a win when they took on Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League. But the Italian side cruised to a 4-0 win over the Czech outfit.

The result leaves Inter Milan second in the points table, with 10 points from five fixtures. The Serie A outfit enjoys a six-point lead over Barcelona, which the Catalan cannot bridge with just one game remaining for them in the group stage.
Had Inter been denied a victory by Plzen, Barcelona would have also needed to defeat Bayern Munich in their fifth match of the group stage.
But the Catalan outfit failed to, succumbing to a 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich. The German side comfortably beat Barcelona, whose group-stage exit was confirmed even before the match had started.
Against Barcelona, Sadio Mane sent Bayern Munich ahead in the 10th minute of the match. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting made it 2-0 in the 31st minute of the match.
Benjamin Pavard then scored right at the death, in the 90+5th minute of the match, as Bayern secured a 3-0 win over the Spanish behemoths.
Meanwhile, Bayern, who had already qualified for the round of 16, will finish Group C as table-toppers. They have 15 points from five matches, winning all of those.
Meanwhile, this is the second consecutive season in which Barcelona have been knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage.
