Barcelona news: Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Writz is one of the most exciting young footballers in the world at the moment.
Wirtz joined Leverkuson’s famous youth academy from FC Koln in 2020 before making his senior debut for the club the same year. He played 60 league games for the club so far, scoring 13 goals in the process.
The 19-year-old is in fine form this season, scoring seven and assisting 10 goals in 24 appearances so far. He also contributed three goals and four assists in six Europa league outings. Apart from that, he won the Bundesliga Player of the Season in September 2021.

According to reports, Barcelona is eyeing up a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Writz for the summer transfer window of 2023.
The youngster caught the attention with his performances at BayArena and is attracting interest from several big clubs across Europe. Apart from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Newcastle United have all shown interest in signing him in recent weeks.
However, the 19-year-old has a history of serious knee injuries. He suffered a horrible ACL injury in March 2021 which kept him out of action for several months. The Spanish club is reportedly wanting to scout him for one more season before deciding on signing him.

The German international is valued at £63 million by TransferMarket which makes him one of the most valuable teenagers in the world. He is a versatile footballer who is comfortable playing as a striker, attacking midfielder, or a central midfielder.
His key attributes are his dribbling and passing skills, which are also being clinical with his finishing.

According to WhoScored, he averaged 1.5 shots, 2.5 key passes, 2.3 dribbles, and 1 tackle per game in the Bundesliga this season. He also boasts a passing completion rate of 78.3 percent in the German top division.
Barcelona is lining up for a big transfer window after conceding the La Liga title to Real Madrid this season. The Blaugrana are currently 15 points behind their rivals with just four games left in the campaign.
They have reportedly already reached agreements with AC Milan’s Frank Kessie and Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen over a summer move. More arrivals are certainly on the cards, but they will have to make room for incoming players by selling their deadwood.
