The Blaugrana manager Xavi clarified rumours about Lionel Messi’s return to the Camp Nou. Speaking to the media, he said: “Makes no sense to speak about Leo Messi’s comeback at Barcelona right now, he’s under contract with PSG so it’s impossible. We’ll see in the future.”

Xavi also added: Laporta already said he hoped it was not yet the end for Messi at Barça.

Messi struggled to adjust at the Parc des Princes, scoring just six goals in 26 league appearances last term. The Argentina international has a year remaining on his current contract with the Paris club.
