Barcelona News: There was concern at Camp Nou as Ronald Araujo fell to the ground after a clash of heads with Gavi. But Xavi Hernandez has since confirmed that the defender is out of danger.
The Blaugrana welcomed Celta De Vigo for a LaLiga game on Tuesday. The Spanish giants proved to be too strong for their opponents as they beat Celta 3-1 on the night.
A Memphis Depay goal and a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brace were enough to give Barcelona a 3-0 lead in the 48th minute itself. Iago Aspas pulled one goal back for Celta De Vigo but it was only a consolation.
Even though Barcelona pulled out a crucial win, the headlines were dominated by Ronald Araujo. An ambulance had to be brought onto the pitch to take the Uruguayan away. The defender seemed to have collapsed on the pitch after a head injury.

Barcelona News: As per the Mirror, Xavi Hernandez has given an update on his player’s condition. According to the Blaugrana manager, Ronald Araujo is out of danger but he is still in the hospital.
The incident featuring Ronald Araujo and Gavi (Pablo Gavira) took place in the 62nd minute. The two Barcelona had a clash of heads while trying to head a ball during the game.
Ronald Araujo seemed to have been unhurt after the incident. The defender got up and started to go back to his position. But he suddenly fell to the ground as he was running to return to his defensive duties.
This sparked concern among the other players as they immediately signaled for the medical staff and the ambulance. The medics present in the stadium decided to take the defender to a hospital. The game was then continued as Clement Lenglet replaced the Uruguayan defender.
Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez gave a positive update after the game. The Spaniard said, “Ronald Araujo is conscious and out of danger. The doctor tells us not to worry.”
The club had posted a message earlier claiming that the defender had been taken to the hospital for running tests. Hence we hope that Ronald Araujo makes a full recovery and returns to action as soon as possible.
