Barcelona news: Manager Xavi has admitted he is still upset with his side’s defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League 22/23 group stage.
The Catalan outfit fell to a 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich, which brought an end to Barcelona’s unbeaten start to the 22/23 season.

The defeat leaves Barcelona second in Group C, with three points from their first two matches. Bayern Munich, meanwhile, top the group, having won both the games they have played. Inter Milan sit third, with the same points as Barcelona but with an inferior goal difference.
Barcelona News: Xavi Still Upset With Bayern Munich Defeat
Xavi is upset with the defeat to Bayern Munich because of how good Barcelona’s performance on that night was.
He also stressed that they lacked efficiency and they must learn from the mistakes. “I’m still upset because when you look at the game and how we played, we need to win that game. It’s a shame. What we did in their stadium was to pick up the three points, not even a draw,” Xavi said.
“When you look at what we missed, efficiency, it came down to details. Football is decided on details. We must learn from these mistakes. I’m still upset about it but that’s it.“
Meanwhile, Barcelona sit top of the La Liga points table after their 3-0 win over Elche in the Spanish top flight. The Catalan outfit have 16 points from their first six fixtures.
Real Madrid sits second with 15 points, having played a game lesser than Barcelona. Real Madrid will have the opportunity to overcome Barcelona when they face Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby next.
The match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid kicks off at 12:30 am Indian Standard Time, on September 19th.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have had a relatively good start to the 22/23 season. They began it on an underwhelming note as Rayo Vallecano held them to a goalless draw in their season opener.
Barcelona have won all games they have played in La Liga since sharing points with Rayo Vallecano.
They kicked off their Champions League 22/23 campaign by cruising to a 5-1 win over Viktoria Plzen. However, Bayern, as aforesaid, brought Barca’s unbeaten run to a close.
