La Liga Giants FC Barcelona have reportedly received a big boost as their right-back Hector Bellerin is ready to play some minutes in the upcoming league match against Villarreal.
The Blaugrana have got a decent start to their season. they have won seven of their first nine matches in the league. So with twenty-two points from these nine matches, Barcelona are currently in the second position in the table.
However, they lost their first match of this season’s La Liga against arch-rivals Real Madrid last Sunday.
This has daunted Barcelona’s title challenge and they are now three points behind the defending champions Real Madrid. The league however is very long and Barcelona will have their chance to catch up to their rivals. To do so, they will have to keep on picking up points in the other matches.
Barcelona can get a big boost
After their loss against arch-rival Real Madrid in the El Clasico, Barcelona will face Villarreal in their next match.
Unai Emery’s Villarreal have got a decent start to their La Liga campaign. With four wins there have got fifteen points from their nine matches. Villareal is currently in the seventh position and a win in this match will take them to the top six.
Now before this crucial encounter, Barcelona have received a big boost. According to the Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Barcelona’s right-back Hector Bellerin trained well on Monday and the Spaniard will be available to take part in the next match.
Bellerin joined Barcelona from Arsenal on a free transfer in the final days of the last summer transfer window. He made his debut for Barcelona in the match against Cadiz. But since then could play only one more match.
Bellerin suffered a calf injury during training with Barcelona which kept him out for the recent few weeks. The Spaniard is the only proper right-back in Xavi’s squad. So in the meantime, Barcelona have struggled a lot.
Now if he is available to play, this will resolve a lot of problems for Xavi’s side. Barcelona have not played at its best in the month of October. This resulted in tough losses against Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
The main reason for their dip in form is injury issues. The Blaugrana saw Araujo, Kounde, and Bellerin getting injured during the International break. Then Andreas Christensen got injured in their 1-0 loss against Inter Milan.
Kounde finally returned to El Clasico but will still need some time to get back to his best form. Now according to reports, Bellerin will return in the Villarreal match. However, it is very unlikely that the Spaniard will start.
