Barcelona Transfer News: Miralem Pjanic‘s Horrendous Barcelona Spell is finally going to end soon. Barcelona has decided to former Juventus man to Sharjah FC of UAE pro league.

In the summer of 2016, Serie A champion Juventus decided to buy Pjanic at a fee of €32 million on a five-year contract. Pjanic scored in his debut game in a 3–1 home win against Sassuolo.

He was the best midfielder in Serie A for years, as he ranked 50th in The Guardian’s “The 100 best footballers in the world” in the year 2019. He signed another five-year contract with Juve in 2018. 

The best part of his career came at Juve, as he won numerous trophies with four Serie A trophies. He was an integral part of Juve’s midfield. Though he started his career as an attacking midfielder, he turned into a deep-lying playmaker while playing under Allegri. He appeared 122 times and created 41 goal assists for the Italian champion.

In the summer of 2020, the Old Lady side decided to sell him, as he was part of a swap deal that included Arthur from Barca to Juve and Pjanic to the opposite side. The deal was worth around €60 million with €5 million in bonuses.

He was not able to adapt to Barcelona’s playing style and had a fallout with manager Koeman. He appeared just 19 times and played for just 1295 minutes in La Liga.

In the summer of 2021, he was sent on a season-long loan deal to Besiktas. He was not able to make an impact there but won the Turkish Super Cup. He return to his parent club which was under the new manager Xavi. But the former Serie A star was not in Xavi’s plans.
