Barcelona has become the center of transfer speculations as various clubs stay on alert.
Barcelona is always active in the transfer market. But this is the time it’s the other way around. It looks like the club is trying to offload players and rebuild their team from scratch.
In that scenario the Premier League plays a key role as the transfer window will only be open till June 10. Which leaves only around a week for clubs to finalize their proceedings.
According to the Daily Star, Barcelona has said that they will consider offers for most of their players, except Lionel Messi. The coach wants a smaller set of players to start in the next season.
The names on Barcelona’s list have attracted a lot of interest as you would expect from the Catalans. Various premier league clubs are on alert for the availability of players.
Philip Coutinho and Dembele are set to leave the Camp Nou. The Brazilian was at Bayern Munich on loan but they haven’t asked for a permanent move. Chelsea was reportedly close to bringing the player back to the Premier League. While the older players at Barcelona prefer that the club releases Dembele.
The 33-year-old Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic are on the list as the club looks for a dramatic overhaul. According to rumors, Tottenham could be the next destination for Rakitic.
Arturo Vidal and Semedo are also up for grabs as the club will take offers for them. Chelsea has shown interest in Semedo and could bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Newcastle has also joined the race for Coutinho and could provide a new start to the Brazilian’s career. Barcelona is also looking for a swap deal for Ansu Fati. Fati along with some extra money could woo Dortmund to allow the move for Sancho.
Griezmann’s availability attracts Arsenal and United interest
The French star has lost his spark and has admitted that he lacks confidence in his play this season. A move for the Frenchmen could provide the player with a fresh opportunity.
Arsenal and United have shown interest in player in the past as well. Arsenal has had a French connection before that worked wonders. Griezmann can be the player to repeat that.
Arsenal was also interested in Umtiti but backed off from the deal due to his high wages demand. The player still remains open for a move. The question remains whether Arsenal would be able to financially execute Griezmann’s move.
United have the financial backings for the move but the club’s eyes seem set on Jadon Sancho. With the current scenarios, two big-money signings would be difficult for United too.
