La Liga champions Barcelona are now looking to cash in on their 29 year old midfielder Arda Turan, who did not have best of times last term, after moving to the Nou Camp a year ago from former club Atletico Madrid. The 29 year old superstar joined the Spanish giants, during the club’s transfer ban and was only registered in Luis Enrique’s squad on the 1st of January 2016.
With just a total of 18 league appearances to his name in the second half of the season, the Turkey international was unable to impress at Barca and it seems now that his time with the Catalan outfit is all but done.
Marca have added that the former champions of Europe had put Turan up for sale and are just trying to sell him desperately, with claims suggesting that the Spanish outfit would accept a fee way below than the €40m they had to pay the Madrid based side last year.
The attacker is keen on staying at Barca and fighting for a place in the starting eleven, though the recent signing of Denis Suarez from domestic rivals Villarreal for £2.7m, would have hurt his ambitions to do so.
Turan scored only a couple of times in the league and managed to create just eight chances, with three assists to his name.
He has not really been able to impress Enrique and the crowd as well, due to which he was given a total of just nine starts last season. The club want to sell him, though nothing seems to be certain yet.
