Atit Sheth and Babashafi Pathan settled for one wicket apiece. Baroda bowled did a fine job to restrict Haryana to a decent total. Although it isn’t a big target to chase, considering the slowish surface made the target look so tricky.

Vishnu Solanki hits 15 runs of last 3 balls

The quarterfinal encounter had all the drama till the end. Baroda were searching for quick runs in the final over of the game. Haryana was in complete command as they had to defend 18 runs off the last over.

Sumit Kumar was given the ball to keep the batsmen in check. The right-arm fast bowler tried his luck and mounted pressure on the batsmen. When the equation came down to 16 runs off the last 4 balls, everyone thought that the game was done.

The fast bowler came out on top in his first 3 deliveries as he conceded only 3 runs. When 15 runs were required off the last 3 balls, Vishnu Solanki was on strike. While his teammates lost all the hope, Vishnu pulled off a mission impossible in the last 3 balls.

Watch the video below:

Vishnu Solanki smacked the bowler for a six in the fourth delivery and after which, he hit a four in the 5th ball. With 5 runs required off the last delivery, there was no hope at all. However, the batsman unleashed his batting skills to the forefront by hitting a six off the last ball.

Solanki guided his team into the semifinals. It was Haryana’s game. They were very competitive and weren’t really far away from clinching the game. But, Baroda batsman Vishnu Solanki had other ideas in mind.

Baroda win by 8 wickets
