Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been a consistent performer for Bayern Munich since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer window of 2020.
So far, he has played 71 games(in all competitions) for the Bavarians, registering 26 goals and nine assists. Choupo-Moting has won two Bundesliga titles, two DFL-Supercups, and one FIFA Club World Cup with the Munich outfit. His current deal at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of the season. He could leave FCB for free in 2023.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich will discuss Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s new contract in the coming months. The Bavarians want to keep him as he has played a key role for them this season. He has registered two goals and three assists in seven Bundesliga appearances. Choupo-Moting has also contributed three goals in four UEFA Champions League outings.
The Cameroon international was named Man of the Match during the Bavarians’ 2-0 win against Inter Milan at UCL on Wednesday. He has been pleased with his current run of form.

He said: “I know what I can do — things have gone great for me in the past few weeks. I’m happy with my goals and assists. We work very hard in training and this is the result. I can feel the trust of the team, everyone trusts each other,”
Liverpool plot move for Konrad Laimer
As per Sky Germany (h/t Sportskeeda), Liverpool are keen on signing RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer in the January window. Laimer is also a key target for Bayern Munich.
The 25-year-year-old midfielder is in the final year of his contract with the Leipzig outfit. The Red Bulls could look to cash in for him in January as opposed to letting him leave for free at the end of the season.
Liverpool have struggled so far this season, managing to win just four of their opening 12 games in the league. They are currently ninth in the Premier League table, 15 points behind leaders Arsenal.
Midfield has been the biggest area of Jurgen Klopp. Almost all of the Reds’ senior midfielders have suffered injuries during the campaign’s opening weeks.
