Bayern Munich news: Club director Hasan Salihamidzic has played down reports that they are plotting a move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Reports in the media have said that Bayern believes they can sign Kane the next summer.
However, Salihamidzic has now insisted Bayern is not working on signing Kane. Salihamidzic said there is nothing to the claims that they believe they can sign Kane next year.
“I don’t think Oliver Kahn [Bayern CEO] is pushing for a signature from [Kane],” Salihamidzic told Philipp Kessler. “You can all take a step back there, there’s nothing to it.”

The Bavarians have played five matches in the Bundesliga 22/23 season and are unbeaten so far. But they sit third in the league table.
Bayern began their Bundesliga 22/23 campaign by trouncing Eintracht Frankfurt 6-1. The defending champions then defeated Wolfsburg 2-0.
Bayern secured another huge win in their next game, inflicting a heavy 7-0 defeat on VfL Bochum. They have since played two games and were held to draws in both. They have 11 points from five games so far this season in the German top-flight.
Tottenham’s performance in the 22/23 season
Tottenham Hotspur have had a fine start to the 22/23 season. They kicked off their Premier League campaign with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Southampton.
Tottenham dropped points in their next match, playing out a 2-2 draw with London rivals Chelsea. Antonio Conte’s side had to twice come from behind to salvage a point at Stamford Bridge. Kane scored Tottenham’s second equalizer in the match.
Tottenham then hosted Wolves in their next game and defeated them 1-0. It was Kane who scored the winner against the Wolves.
Tottenham then took on Nottingham Forest and secured a 2-0 win. Kane once again starred for the London side, bagging a brace and earning his team three important points.
Tottenham faced West Ham in their next game but was held to a 1-1 draw. Spurs then hosted Fulham and registered a 2-1 win, with Kane scoring one of the goals.
Tottenham currently sits third in the Premier League points table with 14 points from six matches. They are only behind Arsenal and Man City. Man City have also earned 14 points, but they have a superior goal difference. Meanwhile, Arsenal have 15 points.
