Initially, he got rid of Colin Munro in the last ball of the 12th over. However, in cricketing terms, a hat-trick is still achievable when the bowler takes the 2 wickets off the next two balls of a new over.

This applies only when the bowler takes a wicket off the last ball of his previous over. Meanwhile, Gurinder Sandhu did exactly the same. He dismissed Munro in the last ball of his spell earlier.

He took three wickets in three successive deliveries for Queensland against South Australia Redbacks. Moreover, he also became the first man to take 2 domestic 50-over hat-tricks.
