Last year, Chand had surprised everyone with a shocking decision to announce his retirement from cricket. After the consistent impactful performances and still being ignored again and again. The right-hander had his patience tested and said it’s enough to perform when there is no chance for the selection.

Chand has also highlighted there are players who he will not prefer in his playing XI who gets the advantage over him. Such attitude from boards depicts the mindset of Selectors these days, says Chand.

Chand has moved to the USA is and part of the silicon Valley team in the minor league. The batter has also major league coming up. In an interview with HT times, the batter has confirmed that eligible for national selection in 2024.

“It is wonderful to be playing alongside cricketers from South Africa, West Indies, Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. USA Cricket is growing massively. I want to play for USA but before that, I want to make sure I score lots of runs. I will be eligible to play for USA when I complete 36 months in the country. A bigger platform is for me to establish my credentials first at the BBL and then in the USA Major T20 League to be held in 2022,” Unmukt said.

Apart from the consistent performance at the domestic level, the batter has played for Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Mumbai Indians.
