BCCI Vice President posts controversial tweets after India’s historic series win in Australia

Team India etched its name in the record books for securing the second consecutive Test series win on Australian soil. Indians stunned the Aussies in the Border Gavaskar Trophy series. After getting bowled out for a paltry 36 in the first Test, nobody really expected them to turn things around.

The chances of winning the series looked like a mission impossible after Indian skipper Virat Kohli took the flight to India. BCCI granted him paternity leave as he had to attend the birth of his first child. However, the team management had faith in Ajinkya Rahane.

Rahane who never lost a Test match as captain led the team in Virat Kohli’s absence. He led the team from the vanguard and delivered the best result. He scored a century in Melbourne Test. India won the game by 8 wickets to level the series.

Coming to the third Test, both teams gave absolutely everything. The match was so competitive that it extended till the final day. However, Ravi Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari survived the bowling attack. The SCG Test ended in a draw.
