Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva is among the most talented midfielders of his generation. He joined the Cityzens from Ligue 1 club AS Monaco in the summer window of 2017.
The Portugal international has played 178 Premier League games so far, registering 31 goals and 33 assists. He helped the Manchester outfit claim four Premier League titles, among other honours. Barcelona plot Bernardo Silva move
According to a report by the Spanish newspaper, Sport(h/t ESPN), Barcelona are confident that they can afford a January move for Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva. The Blaugrana believe they have the resources to get the deal over the line following the retirement of Gerard Pique.
Barcelona tried signing Silva during the summer window. But the Cityzens were reluctant to sell the Portugal international. However, he remains a key target for the Spanish outfit and they could make another effort to sign him during the January window.

Silva’s current contract at the Etihad Stadium will expire in 2025. City are keen to offer him a new deal but he is expected to snub their offer. Apart from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest in signing Silva in recent months.
The Blaugrana targeting Inigo Martinez to replace Gerard Pique

The Spaniard helped his boyhood club claim eight LaLiga trophies and three UEFA Champions League titles, among other honours.
Pique won the 2009-10’s La Liga Best Defender accolade and was also included in the La Liga Team of the Season twice.
Meanwhile, Inigo Martinez has been a consistent performer for Bilbao since joining from Real Sociedad in the summer window of 2018. He has scored five goals in 146 La Liga games for the Basque club so far.
