Big Deal: Manchester United To Sign Juventus’ Midfield Target

Reinforcements are needed at Manchester United as they head into what should be a busy summer at Old Trafford.

English Premier League’s Manchester United are interested in signing French midfielder and Paris Saint Germain outcast Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer this summer, reports Mirror. The Red Devils need serious reinforcements this summer after they ended the season on a weak note, succumbing to a defeat against relegated Cardiff City.

Manchester United struggled to earn points and record victories after an impressive start to Ole Gunnar’s tenure. Despite Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham dropping points again and again, United’s dismal performance meant the club finished sixth in the points table.

Reports in the media suggest Manchester United are willing to accept Rabiot’s wage demands. As reports emerge that Paul Pogba might leave Manchester United, signing Rabiot, who has great potential, would be a good addition to the squad.

The 24-year-old midfielder has made more than 200 appearances for the French champions. He is also linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are also interested in signing another Ligue One player as reports emerge of their keenness to sign Nicolas Pepe, who plays for Lille.

Pepe is another youngster with enormous potential. His performance this season has been impressive and it might be what interested Manchester United.

He scored 20 goals and made 11 assists this season for Lille and it seems like the right time for the player to move in search bigger and tougher challenges. It is also reported that Paris Saint Germain are interested in this 23-year-old player.

Manchester United are heading into what should be a busy summer at Old Trafford. Ole Gunanr Solskjaer is tasked with signing new players which would make the club title contenders again. It also remains to be seen who all will leave the club.

Author’s Take

Signing Adrien Rabiot would be a massive boost for the club. He is available on free and if Manchester United could meet his wage demands, which reports state they are willing to, it could make the United midfield stronger.

Nicolas Pepe has been one of Lille’s best player this season and could be another good addition but it remains to be seen if the Manchester club could beat Paris Saint Germain’s interest.
