Reports in the Marca claim Real Madrid have been offered this player, but the defending Champions League winners would not be interested.
According to reports in Marca, Ligue 1 outfit Lyon have offered their star player Nabil Fekir to Real Madrid. The Frenchman will have his contract expired in 2020 and hence his club doesn’t want their player leave on a Bosman transfer.
Nabil Fekir was linked with a move to Liverpool in the last summer transfer window. However, the deal fell through before materializing. Meanwhile, Fekir has also suitors in clubs like Chelsea, who reportedly have made a contact. The 25-year-old is versatile and can play as either attacking midfielder or forward.
Nevertheless, the same report suggests Real Madrid would not be interested in signing the Frenchman. They already have players like Vinicius to play in such roles. It remains to be seen if Lyon will sell Fekir in January.
Chelsea could be a potential destination for Nabil Fekir. Sarri’s side are currently fourth in the Premier League with 37 points from 18 games. Fekir is blessed with a knack to score goals and help others score goals. Chelsea are currently struggling with both their No.9; Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud keeping on misfiring.
Reports also suggest Real Madrid will try to sign River Plate midfielder Exequiel Palacios who has been impressive for River Plate. The 20-year-old midfielder has high potential and the way he played for River Plate in the games only show he is set for bigger stages.
Santiago Solari has steadied the sinking ship that Real Madrid was. However, it needs amends here and there. Real Madrid will be in the winter market with an aim to bolster their squad. They have been linked with numerous players and will sign a few of them. Nevertheless, deals for the likes of Neymar and Mbappe are highly unlikely in the January transfer window. However, reports suggest they would make a few changes so that they ensure they again retain the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid don’t look like the destination for Fekir. Chelsea could be a more suitable destination for the French midfielder.
