Sunrisers Hyderabad, sometimes known as SunRisers Hyderabad or just SRH, is an Indian Premier League franchise cricket team headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana (IPL). After the Hyderabad-based Deccan Chargers were disbanded by the IPL, the franchise was created in 2012 and is owned by Kalanithi Maran of the SUN Group. Brian Lara now serves as the team’s head coach. The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, which has a capacity of 55,000, serves as their major home field.
In 2013, the club made its debut in the IPL. They advanced to the playoffs and ultimately took fourth place. In the 2016 IPL season, the Sunrisers won the championship after defeating the Royal Challengers Bangalore by an 8-run margin. Every year since 2016, the squad has advanced to the tournament’s play-off round. The team competed in the Indian Premier League in 2018 but fell to Chennai Super Kings in the championship game. The group is regarded as one of the top bowling teams and is frequently praised for its capacity to hold down low totals.

In their uniform, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) wears an orange and black color scheme. On February 9, 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad unveiled its brand-new uniform.
The new shirt can be seen in two different colors, with the lower handcuffs being printed in dotted orange on a black background. The front, back, and trousers are all bright orange.

SRH kept 15 players for the 2016 campaign while releasing nine others. [25] [26] Two players were traded by SRH after the auction. [27] After defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the championship game and finishing the regular season with 11 victories and 6 defeats, Sunrisers Hyderabad was declared the winner. This was their debut and only championship to date. The Purple Cap was originally won by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a player with Sunrisers Hyderabad.
