Arguably the greatest national football team, the Brazil national football team represents South American nation Brazil in the international football. They have been a member of FIFA since 1923 and a member of CONMEBOL since 1916. Brazil is the most successful national team in the FIFA World Cup. They have lifted the trophy five times:1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2022. They are the only national team who have appeared in all the editions of the FIFA World Cup. Brazil have also lifted the FIFA Confederations Cup four times (1997, 2005, 2009 and 2013). They are also nine times Copa America champions.

Brazil national team are the most successful team in the history of the FIFA World Cup. They have lifted the biggest prize of world football five times. Brazil first lifted the World Cup in 1958. Then they defended the trophy in 1962. The Selecao won their third World Cup in 1970. Brazil lifted their fourth World Cup in 1994. Finally, they were crowned five times champions in 2002. They also have the most number wins in the World Cup. Brazil have won the most number of matches at the perennial event. They have 73 victories in 109 matches so far. They are the only national team who participated in all the editions of the World Cup. Brazil also never required to play in the playoffs for qualifying into the World Cup.
Brazil have played in thirty-seven editions of Copa America. They are the third most successful team in this competition with nine titles. After finishing third in their first two appearances, Brazil won their first-ever Copa America tournament in 1919. They lifted their second title in 1922. But then had to wait for 27 years to win their third Copa America. Despite Brazil’s huge dominance in the World Cup, they had a 40-year drought in Copa America, It ended when they lifted their fourth title in 1989. In the next twenty Brazil won five more championships (1997, 1999, 2004, 2007, 2019).
