According to Mirror, Charlton Starlet, Ezri Konsa is attracting every top club from Premier League.
Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United United and Arsenal all have been monitoring the teenager this season.
Celtic are also reportedly looking to make a move for the 18 years old. Brendan Rodgers is trying to make some early moves to lure him to the Celtic Park and is not deterred by the fact that Premier League giants are watching the teenage sensation.
Celtic this summer signed up Mousa Dembele from the Football League and Dembele is already setting the stage on fire with his performances so far for Celtic. Celtic hope to make yet another top class recruitment and Brendan Rodgers sees Konsa as a highly talented centre back.
According to some reports is English media, Brendan Rodgers regards him so highly that he himself has been the scouting the player’s performances at Charlton and is highly impressed with him.
Brendan Rodgers might have to make his move quick and decisive if he wants to land the 18 years old centre-back as it’d be nearly impossible for him to outmuscle the Premier League giants financially. Although he can point to the success that his fellow Championship colleague, Demeble, has been enjoying since his move to Celtic Park. Demeble has scored 11 goals so far in his in Scotland.
Ezra joined Charlton at the age of 11, and has worked his way up to their highly regarded academy structure.
Since making his professional debut at the start of this season, Ezra has featured in 13 games so for Addicks. He can play both in defense and in midfield equally well, he’s already been marshalled in at full-back, central defense and in central midfield already for the Addicks so far has given some impactful performances in every position he’s been deployed.
Konsa is highly physical in his play and is also very matured physically for a player of his age, he has handled the physicality of the English League one very well.
The 18 years old centre back signed a new contract with Addicks last December and which run till 2019. He’s been very highly regarded among the Charlton ranks and is drawing parallels with Joe Gomez and they want to hold on their prized possession.
But, with the sacking of Charlton boss, Russel Slade, there could be a potential door opening for the host of clubs who are interested in the teenager.
