Chelsea 3-0 Leicester City : Blues’ Player Ratings Of An Emphatic Win

As the Champions of past two seasons faced each other at Stamford Bridge a lot was to prove for the clubs. Claudio Ranieri’s men have hardly been their self from last season, the base on which they won the league looks imbalanced and out of place and Chelsea took advantage of it as they rolled over a 3-0 win against Champions. Antonio Conte set-up up his team in 3-4-3 formation with Costa as the focal point of the attack and Azpilicueta again making it to the back 3 with Cahill and Luiz.

Diego Costa again started the scoring for Chelsea as he leads the Premier League goal scoring charts with 7 goals so far this season. Eden Hazard also continued his great form and doubled up the Chelsea’s lead with Moses scoring the third.

We look at the ratings for Chelsea player in their 3-0 win over the Champions, Leicester City.

Thibaut Courtois – 6/10

Hardly had anything to do at all as Leicester posed minimal of threat to Chelsea’s defense which was upto the task.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 7/10

Very solid again in his new role as the centre-back in the Conte’s back 3. Looked to go forward at times.

Gary Cahill – 6/10

Lead the team and was vocal in his performance. But still not at his usual best. Needs to impose himself himself in coming games before John Terry and Kurt Zouma return.

Victor Moses – 7.5/10

He is placing himself as permanent member in the new set up, his wait at Chelsea looks finally to bw coming fruitful. Scored a good goal.

N’Golo Kantè – 8.5/10

Again the best player on the pitch for Chelsea. What a buy he has been for them. Look absolutely impeccable in the midfield against his former club. He was bossing the play for Chelsea.

Nemanja Matic – 8/10

He has risen since his awful last season. Was very compact and hardly let anything pass through. Broke down every thing that Leicester tried to do.

Nothing outstanding about his performance but did his job. Played in his part in the Chelsea attacks. Needs to do better to be a starting for Chelsea.

The Brazilian has been in amazing form for the Blues and he continued it with another goal which opened up the scoring. He played some good one twos with Eden Hazard.
