The Blues are the latest club to express their interest in Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, who has declared his intention to leave the Emirates in pursuit for silverware.
The West Londoners could play spoilsport as they look to hijack the expected transfer of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United by looking to outbid the Red Devils. Chelsea, who have been lacking attacking consistency throughout the season have shortlisted Sanchez as a potential target to solve their attacking woes.

The Chilean winger’s move to Manchester City seemed imminent once the transfer window began. But, since Manchester City are not willing to shell out £35 million for the star, Manchester United emerged as favorites to land the winger to resolve their issues in the wing.
Despite signing Ross Barkley from Everton, Conte is keen to sign more players to bolster his squad ahead of the second half of the season. The Italian manager has termed Sanchez as a “good investment” and termed that he has no idea why the West London sign is not behind the Chilean sine he believes that Sanchez is one of the best players in his position.
Possible destinations for Sanchez:
The South American is clearly unhappy at Arsenal and their season so far sums it up. With Sanchez’s potential reunion with Pep Guardiola not happening. It all is down to these two clubs in a war to land the 29-year-old.
Even though the Blues can match Manchester United’s bid, but it is highly unlikely that they can match the wage as the Red Devils are ready to make Sanchez, the highest paid player in the Premier League with a rumored sum of £400,000 per week.
Both these sides could desperately use Sanchez at the moment with the line of crucial fixtures coming up. Arsenal might consider sealing the transfer over to Manchester United given the prospect of Henrikh Mkhitaryan as a trade. The deal can also be a part of mind games played by Conte to rile up Mourinho given their repeated banter recently.
