According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte is looking to replace the out of favour midfielder, Cesc Fabregas with PSG midfield star, Javier Pastore.

Cesc Fabregas has rarely featured for Chelsea so far this season as Antonio Conte doesn’t see him fitting in his plans and system. He has had 15 appearances so far this season for Chelsea but most of them have been from the bench.

Pastore has been drawing suitors from across the Europe after his great spell at PSG since he moved to Torino. Pastore has been one of PSG’s key members in their four consecutive Ligue 1 titles and their road to two quarter finals in Champions League.

Conte is looking to get a new playmaker who could fit into his system anf is looking to offload the Spaniard who is nothing more than surplus to his requirements at Chelsea.

Chelsea after a turbulent start to their season have now settled into a new system under Conte and are now sitting second on the League table after some emphatic run of wins. Their 5-0 win over Everton was a sign of how good Chelsea could be under Conte and when he gets the players he wants at the club, Chelsea could be even more dominant.

Fabregas was brought to Stamford Bridge on Mourinho’s return to Chelsea and he played a pivotal role in Chelsea’s title triumph in 2014/15 season. But the Spaniard had a dismal last season and one of Chelsea’s worst performers.

The Spaniard has been out injured due to a thigh injury since September and now just a few games until January transfer window to impress his new boss it he wants to stay at the London club.
Chelsea have a string midfield with Kantè being in great form for them and Matic too has been brilliant in his new role so far under Conte, so it’d very hard for him to break it into the Chelsea first team but the Spanish playmaker holds full capability to make it into the Conte’s plans.

Although, Chelsea have had a great start to their season but they’ve suffered defeat from both Liverpool and Arsenal and lack a persona and leader in their midfield who could see off them in the high octane matches.

It’ll also be very naive to talk of a transfer for the Chelsea fan so early into the season and things change very quickly in football.

Chelsea are known to also be looking for Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic as Fabregas’ potential replacement.
