Sarri desperately wants a second fiddle to Jorginho after Fabregas’s departure.
It’s an open secret that Chelsea are lacking in attacking third. Chelsea have scored the least number of goals in top 5. Sarri wants to bring a goal scoring striker. The plan to bring a striker is lest important as Sarri wants an immediate replacement of Fabregas. The Spaniard left Stamford and it has led no back up for Jorginho. It seems Chelsea fans have noticed the Twitter activity of this player ahead of a reported transfer.

Chelsea are on the lookout for a new midfielder after Cesc Fabregas’ departure. After spending four-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge, the Spaniard took the decision to sign for AS Monaco and left a hole in Chelsea’s midfield ranks as a result. Although the presence of Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley suggests that Chelsea have ample back-up, it seems the club are on the brink of making a new signing. The Telegraph reported this week that Chelsea have agreed on deals with both Zenit St. Petersburg’s Leandro Paredes and Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella. According to a recent report, Chelsea are much closer to signing Paredes than Barella. A decision that will be welcomed by the majority of supporters who have been encouraging that very call.
Paredes is the more experienced of the two players and is looking for his major breakthrough after spending time with AS Roma and the Argentinean national team. However, two days on from Fabregas’ exit, and there have been very few updates on Paredes. He’s making Chelsea fans wonder whether the deal will actually be completed. Well, it seems supporters can relax a little after Paredes himself seemed to give an indication that he will be signing for the Premier League club.
That’s because fans spotted that Paredes had decided to re-tweet a post saying that the Blues should have him, not Barella, and with a compilation video of him attached to it. The title of the compilation video? ‘Leandro Paredes – Welcome to Chelsea | Best skills and goals 2018/19.’
It seems a move is on the cards for Paredes. However, Sarri now should focus their attention on signing a striker. It also remains to be seen whether Paredes will feature regularly for the blues or will he be a member of Sarri’s B squad.
