Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is among the most talented English midfielders of his generation. Mason Mount has been a consistent performer for the London outfit since breaking into their first team in 2017. He has played 112 Premier League games so far, registering 24 goals and 22 assists.
The Englishman helped his boyhood club win three major trophies, including one UEFA Champions League trophy. Mason Mount won the Chelsea Player of the Season twice and was also named in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season 2020-21.
The 23-year-old midfielder is also a key member of the England squad. He is likely to be included in the Three Lions squad for the upcoming World Cup.

According to TransferMarkt, Chelsea have shortlisted Lorenzo Pellegrini and Yéremy Pino as candidates to replace Mason Mount.
Mount will enter the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the current season. The Blues are in talks to extend his deal but are yet to reach an agreement with him. They have identified Pellegrini and Pino as potential candidates to replace Mount if he doesn’t sign a contract extension with the club.
Pellegrini is a key member of the AS Roma squad. The Italy international has played 150 league games for the Rome outfit so far, scoring 22 goals in the process. He won the 2020-21’s AS Roma Player of the Season accolade and also named the UEFA Europa Conference League Player of the Season accolade last term.
Meanwhile, Pino has established himself as among the most talented midfielders in Spain since breaking into Villareal’s senior squad during the 2020-21 season.
He has played 87 appearances in all competitions for the Yellow Submarine so far, registering 15 goals and six assists. The 19-year-old midfielder helped the Spanish club win the UEFA Europa League in 2020-21.

His performances at the Estadio de la Cerámica earned him a place in the Spain squad. He has represented his country six times since making his debut last season.
Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League table, with 16 points from eight games. They will next lock horns against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League before locking horns against Aston Villa in a league game on October 16. Mount is expected to play a key role for the London outfit in both games.
