Chelsea have kicked the season in an amazing fashion. The Blues remain the only English side yet to taste defeat this season. To add more firepower to it’s front three it seems Chelsea are keen to lure these two Serie A stars.
Chelsea showcased their fighting spirit by salvaging a draw against Manchester United. The draw may have saved the .FA Champions from it’s first defeat but it questions the Blues’s attacking fortress. None of Chelsea’s strikers are scoring goals every season. With two months to go for transfer season, it seems Maurizio Sarri is keen to lure these two Serie A stars.
Chelsea are looking to fulfil Maurizio Sarri’s wish by raiding the transfer market to sign a new centre-forward in January. Chelsea have shortlisted Inter striker Mauro Icardi and Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek as their solution to striker problem. Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi is top of the Blues wish list. However, it will be very expensive and difficult to prise the Argentinian away from Inter Milan.
Chelsea are prepared to back Maurizio Sarri by signing a new striker in January with Mauro Icardi on top of the list but the Inter forward has a buy-out clause of £97m which will be activated in June, making Genoa's Piatek a more realistic January target. #cfc

Icardi has a release clause of £97.5million but it is not active until the summer window and Inter are trying to tempt him into an improved deal with new terms. Krzysztof Piatek of Genoa, however, is shaping up as a more realistic mid-season target.
Piatek, 23, only moved this year from Cracovia in Poland for just £3.5m and has made a sensational start to his career in Italy. He has scored nine goals already in Serie A, four against Lecce in the Coppa Italia and, earlier this month, opened his account for Poland in only his second international appearance. Genoa has already stated that Piatek is not for sale. Sarri wanted Gonzalo Higuain in the summer but the Argentine left Juventus for AC Milan.
It will be interesting to see whom Chelsea would go for in the January transfer window. Both Icardi and Piatek are hot properties of Serie A. However, Chelsea aren’t the only club keen to have the services of Icardi and Piatek. Napoli, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all keen to land one of the strikers. It will be interesting to see how Chelsea fend off other clubs interest and sign one of the strikers.
