Arsenal was in its top-flight in the 1990s. An offer from North London is valued as something with a high reputation in those days. Also, Gunners were leading the competition ahead of Blues and other major contenders of the game. The club was interested in the potential of Terry.
Also, the team believed that the defender can create history in Emirates. But, fate went against all the speculations. Otherwise, the golden book of Arsenal may be adding pages for the legendary defender of England John Terry.
But, Arsenal didn’t try for a second offer for the player. They were accomodating the interest if the player and well aware of his affinity towards Blues. That was a gesture of respect from North London that keeping eyes off the player.
