Chelsea has made a bid of £21m for Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessié, according to The Guardian.
The 20-year-old Franck Kessié has been on the radar of various Premier League clubs since last summer. The young sensational talented midfielder is one of the primary transfer targets for Chelsea and Manchester United.
According to various reports in British media, it is understood that several Premier League clubs will be looking to sign this player in January. But the Guardian reports that Chelsea has already had a £21m bid for midfielder Franck Kessie rejected by Atalanta.
Franck Kessié is a defensive midfielder who can play in both central midfield and also as a centre-back. The Ivory Coast international is currently playing for Italian Serie A club Atlanta. The 20-year-old has already made 10 international appearances for Ivory Coast national football team.
As per various reports, Atlanta has rejected an offer of £21m from Chelsea, as Franck Kessié is valued at £34m by his club. Kessie has been in excellent form for Atalanta this season and has scored six goals in 16 appearances.

Franck Kessie’s agent George Atangana has already said that various Premier League clubs are looking to sign his client. There will be a transfer battle between these Premier League giants in January, to finalise who gets this young talent.
Frank Kessie’s agent said: “We have a lot of interest from the Premier League. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.”
“I cannot say at this stage how much he will cost but we are talking about one of the best young players in the world.”

“But for us, the most important thing is that the technical project is the right one for him.”
“Franck is very, young so we have to be very careful about his development.”
Recently in an interview, Arsenal manager was asked whether he was on the hunt for this talented midfielder. Arsene Wenger replied “No.”

Even putting Arsenal out of this context, Chelsea will find it difficult to sign this player as both Manchester clubs and Liverpool is monitoring his situation.
Antonio Conte will be seriously looking to capture his target as early as possible, so as to have a smooth Premier League title race this season. The Blues are currently on a 12-match winning streak and have a six-point lead ahead of second placed Liverpool. Chelsea is at the top of the table with 46 points after 18 games.
