In his first season itself, he made an instant impact in La Liga with some brilliant performances. Under the coaching of Carlos Ancelotti, he enjoyed his debut season with Real Madrid. In that season, he scored 17 goals from 47 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions.

But in his second season at Real Madrid, James couldn’t replicate the same form he had before. He started struggling under both managers Rafael Benítez and Zinedine Zidane. It was reported that the player’s attitude created more problems for him.

Spanish media outlet Don Balon claims that James has rejected Real Madrid’s latest offer to keep him at the club.

Rodriguez has made just three league starts this season having fallen down the pecking order at Madrid. It is obvious that James will have to move to another club if he wishes to fulfil the potential. Since the last summer transfer window, there have been rumours linking James with various clubs in Europe.

As per the latest news, Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG have become the top clubs who are favourites to sign James. Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will want to bring James to Old Trafford to provide more competition within the team.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte was determined to land his man in the summer but a deal failed to materialise. Now in January transfer window, Chelsea will be looking to finalise the deal and bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Recently just before Christmas, James was spotted at the British Embassy in Bogota, adding fuel to the fire regarding his move to Premier League.

In addition to that, Paris Saint-Germain has also entered the race for his signature. But it is understood that James prefers a move to Premier League rather than Ligue 1.
