Chelsea News: It’s the start of a new era for the Blues. The new management coming in brings in a desire to see the club elevate its standards and strive for glory in all competitions.

The consortium led by Todd Boehly has successfully completed the takeover from Roman Abramovich in a swooping £4.25 billion deal. The formalities are complete and now the transition period will begin.

The new-look Blues hierarchy is expected to be made up of Boehly and his business partner Mark Walter, Clearlake co-founder Behdad Eghbali and Swiss businessman Hansjorg Wyss.

As they plan to come in, the need for a proper system is imperative. While most of the things could remain the same, there will definitely be some changes that the group will bring in.

Chelsea News: Todd Boehly’s group wants to keep the fans involved and do what’s best for the club

There were some talks about the Boehly group focusing on profits. Although, it’s not just that. They do want profitability but they also want to achieve it by alleviating the club.

To make sure that fans feel involved they have decided to keep people as a fan representative on the board. They will be appointed as Non-Executive directors. Daniel Finkelstein who is a Conservative peer and columnist for The Times is one of them.

Music broker Barbara Charone is another one. But that’s not all. As per reports from the Daily Mail, the group is also considering adding a former player to the club’s Hierarchy.

It is not a very uncommon thing to do as big clubs around Europe have done the same. We can take the example of Franz Beckenbauer and Uli Hoeness at Bayern Munich and even Peter Cech at Chelsea.

Marina Granovskaia could be considered as the right-hand woman under Roman Abramovich. For 19 long years, both of them stood alongside Roman Abramovich and Chelsea.

As of now, they are still with the club, helping with the transition. Although, their long-term future still remains uncertain. Whether or not they will stay with the club will depend on their relationship with the new owners.

Magic Johnson played a key role in revamping the LA Dodgers for the consortium in the past. They would want someone they can trust doing a similar job at Chelsea too. Who that person will still remains a mystery.

Although, this new move should be a fresh start for Chelsea. With a new core and new management coming in, the club can new its fresh investment in building a team that may dominate for the next decade.
