Chelsea news: The Blues are currently undergoing a process of changing ownership. The Londoners are currently owned by a Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich, who purchased the club from Ken Bates in 2013. The club has seen a lot of success under his ownership in recent years.
The Blues have won 21 trophies since he took charge at the club, including five Premier League trophies, two UEFA Champions League titles, and two Europa League trophies.
However, Abramovich is reported to be a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is currently leading his nation in a war against Ukraine.
The UK government recently put sanctions on him, which restricts Abramovich from owning the club. The Raine Group LLC is currently overseeing the process of Chelsea’s sale.
Chelsea news: John Terry confirms he is part of the consortium interested in buying the club

Former Chelsea defender John Terry recently posted on Twitter, confirming that he is part of the group trying to buy his former club.
He wrote: “This innovative structure is designed to be inclusive of all Chelsea fans to protect our club. I’m thankful for the Chelsea Pitch owners and Chelsea Supporters Trust’s time and support on this, and we hope we will be welcomed investors into the Club’s new structure.”
The True Blues are a group of Chelsea season ticket holders who are trying to buy a stake in the club. The group aims to add one member from to the Blues board.
Meanwhile, John Terry is one of the greatest defenders to play in the Premier League. The former England international joined the Blues youth academy in 1995 before making his debut in 1998.
He played 492 league games during his time at Stamford Bridge, scoring 41 goals in the process. Terry won more than 15 trophies with the Blues, including five Premier League trophies, one UEFA Champions League title and one UEFA Europa League title.
The now 41-year old won the Chelsea Player of the Season twice and was also included in the PFA Team of the Year on four separate occasions. Terry also had a brief spell at Aston Villa before retiring as a professional footballer in 2018.
Apart from that, Terry also worked as an assistant manager at Aston Villa between 2018 and 2021.

Chelsea registered a 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on Saturday. They are currently third in the league table with 59 points from 28 games. They will next play Brentford in the league, before facing Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on April 7. The Blues also drawn against Crystal Palace in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
