Chelsea Owner To Initiate Crazy Swap With Real Madrid

The Blues owner Roman Abramovic is willing to let key midfielder N’golo Kante leave Chelsea as a swap for Real Madrid starlet Marco Asensio.

After a disappointing campaign in the Premier League, Chelsea now has very slim chances of making the top 4 as they sit fifth in the Premier League with one fixture remaining. The West London outfit was also dumped out of the Champions League and League Cup at crucial intervals by Barcelona and Arsenal respectively.

This poor season is likely to leave Chelsea ineligible for no Champions League football for next term with a few top players bound to exit Chelsea.  Star keeper Thibaut Courtois has decided not to sign a contract extension and Chelsea will face stiff competition from Real Madrid to keep hold of Belgian talisman Eden Hazard.

Inside News-

According to news outlet Don Balon, Chelsea is willing to sell nine players in order to generate funds for transfer arrivals at the club. However, club owner Roman Abramovich is willing to make a massive sacrifice in order to lure in talented attackers.

The Russian billionaire is prepared to swap French midfielder N’golo Kante for Spaniard Marco Asensio from Real Madrid. Abramovich is a massive admirer of the 22-year-old star winger and has identified Asensio to be Hazard’s successor at Stamford Bridge.

But in order to land one of the most talented and promising stars in the world, the 51-year-old businessman will have to offer something precious in return. N’golo Kante, who has been arguably Chelsea’s best player this season, would have to make way for Asensio’s arrival.

Abramovich is also willing to offer extra transfer fees plus Kante to make sure the Real Madrid star is at Chelsea next season.

Author’s Take-

This is a massive gamble from Chelsea and I don’t think it’s quite viable too. Kante is exceptional at what he does, but Chelsea has struggled with their forward line this season. It is a no-brainer that the Blues have to buck up their frontline in order to compete for major trophies, but losing Kante is too much of a risk.
