Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing up South Korean central defender Kim Min Jae this January transfer window. The Spurs are looking at the defender as one to fill in the void of Jan Vertonghen.
The South Korean international is highly rated and with Tottenham Hotspur having Heung Min Son, it will be definitely much easier for them to attract him to join the club. Jose Mourinho is very much involved in pursuing Kim Min Jae to join the club.
Kim Min Jae is termed as ‘The Monster’ due to his physicality and huge height. The defender stands at about 6feet 4 inches tall. In a physical league such as the Premier League, a physically dominant defender is always welcome.
Tottenham Hotspur was interested in signing up Kim Min Jae last summer itself but couldn’t finalize a deal. This winter transfer window, Jose Mourinho and his men are hunting for defensive alternatives and the South Korean international is at the top of the list.
Jose Mourinho speaks after the Fulham draw

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is disappointed with his team’s performance in the 1-1 draw against Fulham in the Premier League. The Spurs let Fulham with a chance and lost two crucial points.
At this stage of time every small match with the competition being extremely cutthroat. If Tottenham Hotspur wants to compete for the league they must kill off games and not lose such points.
‘Three or four big chances in the first half to have a different result and the biggest chance of the second half to kill the game and go 2-0, but again we conceded a goal that is completely avoidable’, said Jose Mourinho
‘ I have to admit in the second half that they played more and they tried, they had to, but again we didn’t kill the game. It is costing points and many times it happens in the last part of the game.’
Chelsea are interested in raiding Tottenham Hotspur target Kim Min Jae

According to reports, Chelsea too has ramped up their interest to sign up Kim Min Jae. This won’t be the first time that the Blues have raided in on a transfer target of Tottenham Hotspur with them snatching up Willian right under the latter’s noses.
With Fikayo Tomori looking to head out on a loan move to AC Milan and Antonio Rudiger too looking for an exit, Chelsea must pursuit a defender this transfer window. A good centre back backup could do wonders should Thiago Silva or Kurt Zouma get injured.
Tottenham Hotspur will have to remain extremely wary of Chelsea’s plans. It’s safe to say that the West London outfit has a greater pull than them when it comes to transfers and can easily steal their target.
