Chelsea Ready to Offer Hakim Ziyech for Juventus Midfielder Adrien Rabiot

English Premier League giants Chelsea have developed a keen interest in soon-to-be-free Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

After spending time in various academies including Manchester City, French midfielder Adrien Rabiot joined the youth set-up of Paris Saint-Germain.

He then graduated from the PSG academy and got promoted to the main squad. Soon after his promotion, Rabiot was sent on loan at Toulouse to get more first-team opportunities. At the end of his loan period, he returned back to PSG and became a very important member of the club.

Adrien Rabion managed to win eighteen major honours with PSG. This also includes five Ligue 1 titles. Rabiot left Paris in 2019 to join Serie-A giants Juventus. The Juventus midfielder represents France in international football. Rabiot was a member of the French team that lifted the UEFA Nations League 2021.

Chelsea Want Offer Juventus a Swap Deal

According to a report from Italian outlet Gazzetta, Chelsea are interested to sign French International Adrien Rabiot from Juventus.

Chelsea can lose at least two midfielders at the end of the season. Italian midfielder Jorginho’s contract is going to end next season. Jorginho currently wants a wage of €8-9 million after his renewal. Meanwhile, Chelsea would only give him €6 million.

Hence the Italian is looking at other options. La Liga giants Barcelona and defending Ligue 1 champions PSG are among the clubs who are currently interested in the Italian international.

Long-time servant, N’Golo Kante’s contract is going to expire at the end of the season. His injury issues in the past and wage demand have made the Chelsea management rethink to give him an extension.

So Graham Potter’s team is already looking at multiple central midfielders. Despite a slow start to his Juventus career, Adrien Rabiot has been one of the best performers for the Bianconeri this season.

His contract is going to expire at the end of the season and due to Juventus’ financial issues, it seems tough that they can sign him again. So Chelsea have given them a way out of this situation.

According to Calciomercato, the Blues can offer Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech in return for Adrien Rabiot. They want to complete the deal in the winter transfer window.

Although losing Rabiot can be a big deal for Juventus, they will get Ziyech’s creativity which is something they have lacked this season. Allegri’s team has quite a few options in the midfield that can take place of Rabiot. So if they accept this deal, it might become a good one for Juventus.
