Tiemoue Bakayoko has fallen out of favor in Lampard’s midfield. The Frenchman will be sold to any club that can cash £20M for Chelsea.
Chelsea signed the French midfielder back 2017 for a €40M deal. But he has been away most of the years since on loans. He spent a season on loan at AC Milan only to leave for AS Monaco on the next season. But he has now returned back to the Blues after his lengthy loan spell.
It seems as though Frank Lampard does not find the star an asset in his plans. Hence, as per La Gazette Dello Sport, Chelsea are looking to sell the midfielder for a €20M fee. Monaco did have the access to sign the star at the end of the loan period. But with the pandemic taking a toll, the French side could not fund a deal. They also did not express much interest in making the move.

But two clubs seem to have been keeping tabs on Bakayoko. AC Milan and PSG have been keen to sign the Frenchman. Both sides are looking to bolster their midfield. Hence, the clubs feel that Bakayoko can help to solve the issue. Though Lampard foes do not feel the same for him at Chelsea.
But even with the interest from Paris Saint-Germain. It seems like Tiemoue is showing interest in returning to Milan. His period at Milan was a good one for both the club and him. Calciomercato even nicks him as AC Milan’s best midfielder. So a return is on the books and can happen if the requirements are met.
AC Milan are in no hurry though

Despite the star showing his interest in the Italian club, they are in no hurry. Even with PSG keeping close distance to the Frenchman. Milan are looking to seal the deal only towards the end of the window. The main reason being the wage bill of the midfielder.
Milan also has an interest in signing him as the player does. But with the financial issues, they face Milan have been opting fir wage cuts. If Bakayoko can agree to that factor a deal can fall in place easily. Else they might just wait it out to find the value drop on its own.
PSG are also on the tail of Tiemoue Bakayoko. His time at Monaco has been pretty good and have PSG’s attention. The League 1 title-holders can seal the deal if they put the €20M upfront before Milan. Chelsea just wants to seal the deal as soon as possible. Even after Bakayoko’s return to Chelsea, he has not been able to find a role in Lampard’s plans.
Frank already eyeing for better defensive options and also to seal Havertz deal. Chelsea needs to raise more funds as soon as possible. He has already lost some of the deadwood up for sale. Along with some first-team stars as well. This can help them fund the moves for this summer.
Lampard is preparing Chelsea to be more competitive

Frank Lampard has done a great job so far with Chelsea. He was able to make some major changes to the club which have made positive impacts. The Blues have already brought two big signings, Werner and Ziyech. But Lampard and co have some more transfers in mind.
With Bakayoko, Jorginho and even Kante up for sale, Lampard is looking to bring in Declan Rice. The Englishman has been great recently and has impress, Frank. He is also considering signing at least one central defender and a left-back.
Well ahead of all these the Blues are now preparing for their second leg against Bayern. After losing 3-0 in the first leg, Lampard will have to work hard to get their edge over the Bavarian side. The away game will be a crucial one to define their future in the elite league.
