According to various reports, it seems like the title winning manager is looking to bolster his midfield options. While a total of 6 signings have been outlined by him, 22-year-old Bakayoko has been highlighted as key to increasing the thrust of the side.
The French international has been a key player in Monaco’s season in which the French club clinched the Ligue 1 title and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Manchester United and Liverpool have also shown interest in the midfielder but according to the Independent, Chelsea lead the race and could clinch a £42m deal after a round of talks.

Manchester Evening News are claiming that Matic has discussed the prospect of reuniting with Mourinho – with a deal dependent on whether the two clubs can agree a fee.
Matic starred under Mourinho when Chelsea won the Premier League in 2015 and was again key in the Blues’ title triumph under Antonio Conte this season.
