According to the latest reports, Chelsea is willing to offer Callum Hudson Odoi a lucrative new contract as well as a starting role.
As Chelsea finished last season outside the top 4, they will be ineligible to compete in the Champions League this season. A difficult few weeks are on course in the summer transfer window with key players nearing an exit from Stamford Bridge. Star forwards Eden Hazard and Willian are close to leaving the West London outfit and even though Chelsea are playing hardball with European competitors the Blues are still sorting out their back up options.
One youngster that has impressed new manager Maurizio Sarri is teenage sensation Callum Hudson Odoi. The 17-year-old was bright against Australia as Chelsea kick-started their pre-season tour on Monday setting up an assist for Pedro’s goal.

According to Goal, The Blues are offering a bumper long-term contract for Odoi, a reported five-year deal is on the table along with the opportunity to become a starter under Maurizio Sarri. Sarri’s assistant coach Gianfranco Zola played a key part in keeping hold of Odoi but the transfer board was keen on letting him leave on loan.
Top European clubs including Real Madrid Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Monaco were showing a keen interest in the English winger but Chelsea is now trying to keep hold of Odoi, who earned massive reputation after winning the U-17 World Cup with his national side.
Wonder-kid Odoi is reportedly still considering his options and may decide to play for the FA Cup winners next season. But this long-term deal for Odoi could spell the end for either Eden Hazard or Willian at Chelsea as they look towards their youth for the future.
Hudson Odoi is still very young and has not experienced the competitiveness of the Premier League and European level. I think that Chelsea should let him leave on loan if they can keep Hazard and Willian and bring Odoi back in the next few seasons.
