Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard has fired a warning to the Catalonian club that the Blues will be on the attack when they visit the Camp Nou.
The first leg of the Round of 16 encounters in the Champions League ended 1-1 in a pulsating fixture at Stamford Bridge. Willian gave the hosts the lead in the second-half before a costly error at the back allowed Lionel Messi to score his first goal against Chelsea.
Hazard Prepared To Take The Attack To Barcelona-
The 27-year-old Belgian was unable to put the Barcelona defense under too much pressure in the first leg but has insisted that they will be more threatening in the last third when they visit Spain. Hazard mentioned, “At least we won’t be able to think defensively in the second leg because if we think defensively over there we will be in a lot of danger”.
Barcelona managed to score a vital away goal which puts them in an advantageous position, so the English champions must score to qualify in the quarter-finals of the competition. Hazard added, “We will go there to win because we have to score and we will try for the perfect game as we did today except for the small error that we made. That’s what made the difference because you’re up against Barcelona.”
Willian hit both sides of the post in the first-half before being picked out by Hazard at the edge of the box in the 62nd minute, and the Brazilian was third time lucky, Andreas Christensen’s inaccurate pass 15 minutes before full-time allowed Iniesta through and he picked out Messi, whose finish was unerring
Have to agree with Hazard, Chelsea looked the better side for most of the 90 minutes but one just one error allowed Barcelona to pounce and score a late equalizer on the night. But attacking will be just one aspect, Chelsea needs to be solid in defense as well because the atmosphere in the Camp Nou can create miracles for the La Liga leaders.
