Chelsea are likely to part ways with Jorginho this summer. Frank Lampard has had a busy window with all his latest signings.
Jorginho has been playing a key role in the Chelsea midfield since his arrival. The Italian midfielder followed Maurizio Sarri’s path to sign for Chelsea. Sarri was his boss at Napoli and the duo had a wonderful time at Serie A. But when Sarri left from Chelsea, Jorginho chose to stay at Stamford Bridge.
But as per the latest reports, Jorginho is likely to make an exit this summer. Chelsea has been busy in the transfer market. They have already spend a fortune to build a strong lineup. So Lampard is considering shipping away some stars as well. Or more precisely saying he has been instructed to do so.
Though Jorginho had a pivotal role in Sarri’s lineup. Lampard does not seem to have the same interest in the Azzurri. Hence, he has been under speculation of parting ways with the club for a while now. There were hints of him planning to reunite with Sarri at Juventus. But Juve’s Champions League knockout led to Sarri’s sack. Hence, the move is under doubt with Pirlo as their new gaffer.
Andrea Pirlo has also focused on rebuilding the Juventus midfield. But so far the Italian legend has not shown interest in signing Jorginho. Hence, a shift to the Old lady is off for now.
Jorginho has fallen out of Lampard’s lineup
Jorginho was not able to impress Lampard as ha did with Sarri. Resulting in the Italian being on the bench more than he usually is. Lampard also made Billy Gilmour he preferred to pick over Jorginho. Hence, the Italian saw less time on the field lately.
Also, Lampard has to sum up more funds to land his key targets. He has already made the signing of some top stars. But there’s more on his wishlist and Marina Granovskaia has been urging him to ship some stars first. So Jorginho is all set to bid goodbye this summer.
Kai Havertz has been ruling Lampard’s wishlist and Chelsea are desperate to sign him. But Bayer Leverkusen are adamant to ease their asking price. So Chelsea are summing up the cash to fund his signing. Lampard has also put up several other first-team players on sale.
The transfer fee from these stars are likely to juice the arrival of Havertz. The Blues have been pretty busy this whole summer and were able to land some key signings.
Business is good for the Blues
Chelsea has been rocking this summer with signing after signing. The Blues had a silent summer last year with their transfer ban. But have made a great impact this summer. They were able to land two top-class signings earlier on itself. The spent a combined £90m on Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech to strengthen their attack.
The Chelsea defense was under criticism for their faulty handling. But the Blues made a back to back signing the last few days to bring in fresh defensive options. Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and the latest addition Thiago Silva will bolster Lampard’s backline.
Chelsea has a steady lineup set for the coming campaign. Frank will try to fight for the Premier League title this term. The Blues are looking forward to getting back stronger than ever this time.
