Chelsea Transfer News: Four senior Chelsea players have been informed that their careers lie elsewhere while promising star Levi Colwill is leaving on loan.
The England Under-21 defender made an impression during his loan stint at Huddersfield in the Championship last year. He contributed significantly to the Terriers’ march to the play-off final. However, he scored the own goal that allowed Nottingham Forest to advance at the expense of the Terriers.
Colwill is expected to join Brighton for the upcoming season. However, the fact remains that the coaching staff at the club’s Cobham training facility highly regard him. A Premier League test is something the 19-year-old wants to do.
The Seagulls were able to intervene and sign a man they think would become a future senior England great. Thomas Tuchel wasn’t prepared to elevate him into his senior defensive ranks. If there is still no path at Stamford Bridge, they are willing to stake £25 million on his skill the following summer.
Chelsea Transfer News: Other stars told to find new clubs
Along with Colwill, Michy Batshuayi, Ross Barkley, Kenedy, Billy Gilmour, and have all been advised they can look for new teams.
During their individual stays in west London, all four have at some point been on loan from Stamford Bridge.
After failing to make an impression while on loan at Norwich the previous season, Gilmour is being targeted by former Blues manager Frank Lampard for a brief stint at Everton.
Although new owner Todd Boehly hopes to permanently cut the club’s losses on the other three players. He may once more have to settle for loan agreements. He could still have a long-term future at the club.
The curious case of Batshuayi
Both Wolves and Everton are interested in signing Batshuayi as they look to strengthen their front lines before the transfer window ends. Batshuayi needs match experience to reach Belgium’s World Cup roster. However, it is believed that both are merely looking for loan agreements.
The Besiktas striker from last season has given Conor Gallagher the No. 23 jersey. Following a productive loan period at Crystal Palace, Gallagher is now back with the Blues.
In the end, Gallagher replaced Barkley on Tuchel’s team. After spending the previous year on loan at Aston Villa, Barkley occasionally played last season, but this summer, he has been offered other positions. There are no takers as of yet.
Broja, the in-demand striker
Meanwhile, West Ham United and other clubs were interested in the teenage striker Armando Broja over the summer.
Following a loan stint at Southampton last season, the Albanian international is placing his confidence in his ability to impress and seize any possibilities provided again at the club. Harvey Vale is anticipated to go out on loan to obtain more first-team experience but has not yet been given a squad number.
