Chelsea transfer news: Leicester City reject the Blues’ bid for Wesley Fofana

Chelsea news: The Blues are in talks with Leicester City to sign defender Wesley Fofana.

Fofana is currently among the most exciting defenders in Europe. He joined the Foxes from Saint-Etienne for £36.5 million in the summer transfer window of 2020.

The France youth international has made 50 appearances in all competitions for the East Midlands club so far, scoring nine goals. He was part of the Foxes team that lifted the FA Cup during the 2020-21 season.

However, he missed most of last season with a broken leg. He returned to full fitness in March this year and played a key role for the East Midlands club during the concluding stages of the 2021-22 season.
