Chelsea star Victor Moses lavishes Belgium star with praise amid links with Real Madrid

Chelsea star Victor Moses lavishes Blues’ Belgian star with praise after Brighton victory, amid Real Madrid interest.

The 27 year old Belgian has been a vital part of Chelsea’s team since his arrival at the club from LOSC Lille in 2012. However, while he has suffered from form issues over the last few seasons, this season has seen him return back to his 2014/15 player of season form, with eleven goals and eight assists despite missing the start of the season. This has lead many of his teamamtes lavish Eden Hazard with praise and right-wing back Victor Moses is no different.

Eden Hazard

The 27-year-old has already refused a contract offer from the Blues, and is well aware of both Real Madrid and Barcelona’s interest in him and wants to wait until the end of the season to see if either club, especially Real Madrid makes a move for him. According to RMC, Los Blancos have upped their contact with the 27-year-old forward and this has made Antonio Conte furious, both at Madrid and Eden Hazard for turning down the contract.

However, in an interview with Standard Sport Victor Moses went on to say about Eden Hazard, “He does that in training and, on his day, he’s probably one of the best players in the world.

We all saw it today. He’s unbelievable. He’s so talented. We’re very happy to have him here and we’re happy that he’s enjoying his football. Hopefully, he’ll keep scoring goals. The second goal [for Chelsea] was a great goal, one touch from Michy, Hazard and what a goal from Willy. He’s a very important player for us and he done very well.”

Chelsea has most certainly improved after a tough couple of months before their form picked up towards the end of December. However, with Manchester City 15 points ahead of them in the title race, the Blues see their title hopes getting further and further away. But despite that, they are vying for a top-four place and thus cannot afford to lose any more games.

Moses further added “Any one of us can score. We definitely will have chances [in games] but it’s just about converting them. We showed that we have good enough players to score us goals. We are pleased that Willian, Eden and myself were on the score-sheet. The most important thing is that we are happy.”

Author’s take:

The Blues have improved their position in the league, despite a few bumps early in the road but while their title hopes are slim at best, they still need to finish in the top four. However, with the likes of Arsenal and even Tottenham chasing them down, they need Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata and even Victor Moses himself at their very best.
