According to bookies, Eden Hazard is more or less assured to get his dream move to Real Madrid after the Blues signed Christian Pulisic
Chelsea finally got their man, signing Pulisic for a £58 million deal and welcoming the January transfer window with a bang — but the forward will remain on loan at Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season. The American will move to London on a full-time basis come summer, but this transaction has cast fresh doubts over the future of Hazard.
The Belgian started the season off in blistering fashion, thus accentuating rumors that he was set for a move away from Stamford Bridge. Hazard has 12 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions, ensuring that Blues are fourth in the Premier League as they prepare for their first game of the new year against Southampton on Wednesday.
Adding a new twist to this match is the fact that the odds are now favouring this to be his last season in west London. Hazard has been cut from 6/4 to 4/7 for a move to Madrid by Paddy Power. And Betfair price the Belgian at 1/4 to leave Chelsea in the summer.
Getting back to Pulisic, the 20-year-old paid tribute to Dortmund after his move was confirmed. He wrote: “Liebe Borussen, it with a heavy heart that I announce that I will be entering my final months at y(our) world-famous club. It feels like only yesterday that I arrived in Dortmund as a raw, excited, very nervous but exceptionally proud 16-year-old from a small American town called Hershey.
Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Thorgan Hazard as a Pulisic replacement. Deal with Gladbach running out in 2020.

“I had no idea what lay ahead but I soon discovered that as a young Schwarzgelben, I would be in the best possible hands. I would not be where I am today without the club and their belief in giving young players a chance. It’s been an honour and a dream to pull on the black and yellow in front of the Sudtribune!”
Chelsea have been chasing Pulisic for a while now, and were in danger of losing out to English rivals Liverpool for the talented winger, but have somehow pulled off a coup of sorts. But it may well have come a the cost of losing their most important talent in Hazard, who looks certain to exit come the summer. It almost feels like Chelsea have signed Pulisic as a replacement for the Belgian captain, knowing the latter’s heart and future lie elsewhere.
