Ajax director of football: Sanchez ‘could make a move back’ to the Emirates.
Alexis Sanchez joined United in January 2018 in a swap deal involving Armenian captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but has since struggled to find his best form at Old Trafford. The 30-year-old has scored just five goals in 37 matches for United and has also struggled with injuries.
Ajax director of football and former Arsenal winger Overmars, who has been linked with taking up a similar position at Arsenal following the departure of Sven Mislintat, feels Sanchez may now be regretting the switch to Old Trafford. He revealed that Sanchez difficult time with United could see the Chilean make a return to North London.

Marc overmars told Chile Radio station:
I have great respect for Alexis, because he did extremely well in Arsenal, but I do not know if it was a good decision to leave.
English football changes you, it turns you around, and it took me a step forward. Arsene Wenger arrived a year before me, Dennis Bergkamp made a big impression England. It was a fantastic time, I think we changed the history of the club a bit.
These type of players were very important for Arsenal, because that’s where they take you to focus, after Alexis, Arsenal tried to sign another player like that, but he was not given, so he could go back to Arsenal.
Author’s Take:
Alexis Sanchez’s struggles with Manchester United since he made a move to Old Trafford. After racking up 80 goals across 166 appearances during his stint with Arsenal, Sanchez has thus far managed a return of just 5 goals in 37 outings in a Red Devils’ jersey. The former Barcelona man has, simply looked a shadow of his once-explosive self at Old Trafford.
