The former Celtic warrior has been quite impressive ever since he signed for Arsenal Football Club. Conor McGregor revealed that Tierney is his favorite footballer. Despite being busy with respective sports, the two stitched a great friendship over the years.

McGregor loves Tierney more than Ronaldo, Ramos
The UFC superstar met the left-back at a UFC event in Belfast. It was when both started developing a special bond with each other. They also spoke so much about their love for Celtic. Despite being so busy in hectic schedules, both the stalwarts stayed in touch with each other on social media.
It should be noted that Tierney also presented him a signed shirt after the MMA fighter’s friends told the Scotland international McGregor would be very much thrilled to receive it.
Speaking to the Daily Record last year, Tierney revealed his first reaction the first time after seeing the Irishman wearing the signed shirt during a practice session. “Honestly, I couldn’t sleep that night. He posted the picture at 10.50 pm and I was sitting there thinking, ‘No way.’ That was me up the full night, and I went buzzing into training,” he recalled.
Tierney also further added that he is a huge fan of Irishman. “I’m a massive fan, particularly the way he talks about positivity. It’s all about mindset and how you react to people doubting you, and how to come back from defeats. Any athlete can relate to him,” the Scot added.
When McGregor gave tips to former Celtic defender
Earlier, Tierney was sidelined for 10 weeks due to a groin injury at the fag end of the 2018/19 season. During his recovery time, it was Conor McGregor who gave him important fitness tips to get back on the pitch.
He said: “Throughout my injury, Connor McGregor was brilliant with me. He has a programme he does on the watt bike that helped him get fit and he was giving me tips on that, which was amazing.”
Tierney hogged the limelight in the match against West Bromwich Albion when he scored a stunning goal to help his team secure a 4-0 win over the hosts. Tierney drew plaudits for his extraordinary piece of skill which he did before scoring a screamer.
