London giants Chelsea are unwilling to let go of Diego Costa.
The Spanish forward has been their leading goal scorer and has been linked to the Chinese Super League. It seems that the Chinese Super League is the new Major League Soccer. They are trying to lure in players by offering money.
The Chinese Super League might become like MLS, with players choosing to move only for retirement. These leagues are less competitive as compared to the traditional English and Spanish leagues.
Such leagues would try to attract big names in order to promote their league. We have seen stars like Bekham, Gerard, Lampard and many more move to MLS. Soon we might see players of similar caliber moving to China when they feel their prime is over.
According to Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, Costa will continue at Chelsea. He doesn’t believe that his transfer to Tianjin Quanjian will go through.

Speculations of the transfer had become stronger after Costa sat out the game against Leicester City. Costa has been rested owing to his recent back injury. However, the striker felt he was fit to play.
“Diego is a really important player. The situation is very clear, he is very happy to stay with us and fight for the title,” Conte told BBC’s Premier League Show.
“I see him every day and his commitment and behaviour. He loves this club.”

Many big players including Tevez, Martinez, and even Chelsea’s own Oscar have moved to China. The Chinese super league has been attracting a lot of talent. They have been offering huge transfer fees as well as wages for the players.
However Conte hopes that Costa would follow the decisions of Ronaldo and Rooney. Both the Manchester United legends turned down tempting offers from the Chinese Super League. Only time will tell if Costa is like Ronaldo or Tevez.
