Philippe Coutinho drops hints towards his next destination
Phileppe Coutinho buttered up his chances for a potential move to Barcelona when he picked Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez to bag the Ballon d’Or this year, snubbing the Los Blancos’ megastar Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Brazilian has truly showed his brilliance as he’s shot his team into Title Contention before untimely suffering an injury last weeknd against Sunderland.
Coutinho’s performances at Anfield have reportedly seen long-term suitors Barcelona renew their interest in signing him to boost their own charge for silverware, with Neymar thought to be urging his compatriot to join him at Camp Nou.
The Liverpool star has made it clear that he is in complete admiration of his fellow Brazilian, Neymar and his partners in crime- Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi and believes they ought to finish on podium positions to be crowned the best player in the world.
“My top three players in the world are the MSN trio,” he told FourFourTwo.
“One is fast, the other is skilful, then there’s the top scorer, so they really complete each other.”
Asked whether his choices meant 2016 favourite Ronaldo – who won the Champions League and Euro 2016 with Real Madrid and Portugal respectively – had no place, Coutinho was unequivocal.
“Obviously there are others at Real Madrid too, like Cristiano Ronaldo, but those three [Messi, Suarez and Neymar] complete each other,” he said.
The Trio go head to head against Cristiano Ronaldo for La Liga supremacy when Barcelona hold the El Classico this Saturday at Camp Nou.
