AB de Villiers Reveals: The sixteenth edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League will go all guns blazing from March 31 onwards. Gujarat Titans, the defending champions will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener.
It will be quite interesting to see which team will win the title this time around. In the previous season, Gujarat Titans made it to the final and played against Rajasthan Royals.
However, it was Hardik Pandya and Co who had the last laugh in the battle as they beat the Royals by seven wickets. Gujarat Titans won their first title in their debut season.
Mumbai Indians failed to execute their plans in the last edition of the Indian Premier League. Rohit Sharma and Co ran short of tricks and ideas in the group stage as they lost ten games.
Despite having so many top players at their disposal, they hardly won games in the last season. Moreover, they ended up losing too many games in the process.
They were able to win only four games in the league stage which wasn’t really enough to qualify for the playoffs. However, Mumbai Indians will be looking forward to performing well in the next season of the IPL.

AB de Villiers was one of the vital cogs of Royal Challengers Bangalore during his heydays. The former RCB star will be rooting for RCB in the upcoming season.
At the same time, he is also looking forward to seeing how Dewald Brevis go about his business for Mumbai Indians in the sixteenth edition of the IPL.
Meanwhile, in a recent column, AB de Villiers went on to compare youngster Dewald Brevis to his Mumbai Indians teammate Suryakumar Yadav.
Both cricketers have one thing in common and which is their natural ability to play shots all around the park with ease. AB de Villiers felt that both batters have similarities in the way they approach the game.

“There are certainly similarities in the way that they approach the game. They’re both really aggressive, they want to take the bowlers on, and they don’t let the bowlers settle,” AB de Villiers wrote in his blog for Betway.
“Dewald is obviously a lot younger and still has a lot to learn, whereas SKY is more experienced these days. He come a long way having performed well for the Mumbai Indians at the IPL. But they both excite me a lot,” he added.
