AUS Vs ENG: England national cricket team went through tough challenges when they locked horns with the Australian cricket team in the ODI series.
It was not that easy for the Three Lions to compete at the highest level after winning the T20 World Cup in Australia very recently.
Aussies won the ODI series opener by six wickets to draw the first blood in the series. On the other hand, there was a chance for England to level the series.
However, they let the chance slip away from their hands as they lost the game by 72 runs in the second ODI and also went on to lose the series.
Talking about the dead rubber, Australia once again dominated the game like a hot knife through butter. Australian openers namely Travis Head and David Warner added 269 runs for the opening wicket.
Head scored 152 off 130 balls including 16 fours and 4 sixes. Meanwhile, David Warner scored his 19th ODI century. He ended his century drought after over 1000 days as he scored 106 off 102 balls.

Warner 8 boundaries and two hits over the fence. The game was stopped for a while due to rain. As a result, the game was trimmed by two overs as it turned into a 48 overs aside game. Australia posted a humongous total of 355/5.
Meanwhile during England’s innings, a bizarre incident took place which left the entire Aussies in splits. The video clip of the same has gone viral on the internet.

The ball-tracking technology left everyone in splits, leaving the right-arm leg-break bowler Adam Zampa in utter disbelief. It all started when Zampa pitched the ball at the right line towards Liam Dawson.
The right-handed batter tried to sweep the ball but ended up getting hit on his pads. The ball went on to pitch on leg stump and then it back to hit Dawson between middle and leg.
However, the DRS showed that the ball would go on to hit middle and off stump. Australia won the third game by a massive margin of 221 runs (DLS method) and inflicted a 3-0 whitewash on India.
